The Eurovision Wishlist
Start naming things you want to see next contest. This isn't a predictions thread, be as realistic or unrealistic as you want to be.
- CLOSE FUCKING VOTING
- a country that has never top 5'd before top 5's
- Lithuania and Latvia choose good songs that are largely respected among fandom
- someone sends an entry sung in Russian (or Ukrainian, or, heck, even Belarusian)
Re: The Eurovision Wishlist
UK gets its arse in gear and is rewarded.
A 100% qualifier doesn't qualify
All selections must have some form of democratic input. (I'm so bored of these internal selections forced on countries)
ESC fans become more open to genres outside Ballads and Dance, particularly rock/ pop-rock and Opera.
Everyone that takes part actually wants to compete, none of this "they don't want to win and host" bullshit. If they don't want to host they don't take part.
Sweden actually makes decent choices in Melodifestivalen.
Estonia actually votes for the best song that year, not the song that's just like that song that did okay the year before.
Ukraine takes their song seriously and doesn't shove obligatory gimmicks in the performance, which they think will pander for votes.
The running order is drawn again, but the balls are separated by genre/ tempo and certain genres will get certain positions.
Big 5 countries are told that they MUST keep on the left hand side of the board at least once over 3 years, or they will face replacement. There are now many
broadcasters who would take this offer and would work hard to be in the position of UK, Spain and co.

Re: The Eurovision Wishlist
A laid back presenting style similar to 2013, 2010 and 2007.
Armenia sending something that will blow us away.
Georgian language.
Effort; recognising the next year will be hosting the 60th ESC.

Re: The Eurovision Wishlist
I'd also love this, but I'd also love it to qualify without the need for a gimmick. I'd also love general ESC fans to be open to it.*Alex wrote:I need me some proper rock or metal.

Re: The Eurovision Wishlist
I would love see a win for Portugal (if they ever return) or Iceland. I don't like the predetermined performance order. Make it random
